18 Hospitable Subjects

It was a my great pleasure to work with the teams at Dana Hospitality and Marek Hospitality, to produce their head and shoulders portraits.  Once again, professional makeup and hair stylist Virginia of Beauty on the Go was my able collaborator.

Mike’s Ride to Conquer Cancer, Day Two

Before the cyclists resumed their ride on Sunday, I made a portrait of 18 members of Mike's team, "Sweet Cheeks". We brought 5x7 prints of the portrait to give to everyone at the finish line. (Don't worry team members who we missed .. Mike will make sure that you receive your prints.)

At the finish line, mom blows her hero a kiss:

With Niagara Falls being one of the most overphotographed places in the world, every time that I go there I enjoy looking for different angles ..

Mike’s Ride to Conquer Cancer

Cancer has touched our family's lives, taking some people very dear to us.  So this morning it was with a mix of pride and sorrow that we watched our seventeen year old son Mike embark on the 2011 Ontario Ride to Conquer Cancer.  He and 4600 other riders left from the CNE grounds at 8:30AM.  This year, the participants have raised a record $17.5M for The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret Hospital, one of the top five cancer research centres in the world.  To support Mike’s 200km ride, please follow this link.

Mike and mom Lorraine …

Three and a half hours after the start, I spotted Mike among the pack as he crossed Burlington on Side Road 1.
